Arriving at the temple we immediately parked my motor cycle and took pictures in front of the temple area that looks so beautiful. Taman Ayun Temple is surrounded by an artificial pond that makes the atmosphere cool in the neighborhood temple area. Although the water was green and brown but it looks clear. In the gate of temple there are 2 statues guard which is right on the edge of the pond. The existence of clusters to increase the beauty of the lotus pond in this temple complex.

According to the guard booth mother Pura Taman Ayun was built about 400 years ago around 1634 BC by the king of Mengwi Kingdom, I Gusti Agung Ngurah Made Agung. Next we go to the main page of this temple Taman Ayun. The front page of this temple is so wide and planted with grass so green and lush impressed. To go into the temple area are paving the road to the right and left decorated with flower pots. So airy look and so relieved the landscape. After a while running then we will enter the second door, a Balinese gate decorated with carvings and engravings, beautiful with a few stairs. Right in front of the entrance there are two small buildings that are similar to existing kulkul in each row in Bali. In even this area looks spacious and roomy with a view of the main gate to enter the main building temples. The main door looks tall and elegant with Balinese ornaments and carvings. There are 3 entrances which leaves the door made of wood. For visitors who do not intend to worship must go through the side door on the left. Since we are only visiting and do not pray then we follow the directions as per the instructions and enter from the left side door.

Once entering the side door to the left, you will see beautiful views of the temple even though the main building (the most sacred building of the temple Taman Ayun) given a fence made of brick. Visible Meru (pagoda with terraced roof typical bali) the beautiful and exotic tall. It was wonderful to immortalized in the form of photographs. The more into the scenery looks the better eye even after being in the back of this shrine. Looks neat rows lined Meru sequentially from the lowest and getting into the back of higher and higher. Seen from Meru by one level to the highest Meru (11 level) looks so beautiful. On the right and left part of this sacred pond is overgrown with a kind built by lotus flowers are beautiful. Could I also was stunned, thinking how great architects who built temples along with the building of this beautiful Meru .. Though the temple is built about 400 years ago so it was about 4 centuries standing, but still sturdy and still look so beautiful and exotic. It turned out that not only will the beauty captivated me the Taman Ayun temple, several foreign tourists who come from Korea and India as well as admire the beauty of this temple. They are incessantly taking pictures from various angles in order to get the best angle. And I think from any angle Pura Taman Ayun remain good for immortalized ..

I accidentally directing views to the west, which is a kind of building kulkul and there are steps that can be climbed. Finally we went upstairs and look beautiful scenery from above the temple area. Here again the view from no less elegant start of the pool that surrounds the temple to the composed and clustered Meru peeking out from behind the thick foliage. The view is so interesting.

Goa Gajah Cave Ubud, Bali

Gajah Cave (Goa Gajah) locate in Gianyar Bali, literally means ‘Elephant Cave”. Although named by ‘elephant’ it doesn’t mean there is any real elephant live or ever live here. The name Goa Gajah derived from ‘Lawa Gajah’, which is mentioned in the manuscripts that found in this site. This temple complex was built for the first time around 11 century based on epigraph found in this site.

A seven-meters deep cave with a shape of T-letter is the major attraction of this Bedulu village’s local temple. The cave it self is carved in a solid stone hill of the river valley. The main figure of the carving at the cave entrance is ‘boma’, a barong face, accompanied with big clapping fingers on its side. Leaf, flower, and some horror figures can be noticed if we give more attention look to the rest of the carving. Some holes that are considered to be used as meditation or sleeping quarters can be found in the wall of the cave. Nowadays, those holes are used to place offerings whenever there is ceremonies taking place. On the left end side of the cave is Ganesha statue, believe it as ‘the God of knowledge’. Meanwhile on the right end side can be found three ‘linggas’, that each of them dedicated to the three common God manifestations in Bali, Brahma, Wisnu, and Siwa. There are other three stone carvings in the centre wall, one of them figuring head and face.
Three other statues of Ganesha, demons and Men Brayut, a legendary lady with her beloved children, are placed on a high building located on the left side of cave entrance. It is considered that these statues are 1000 years old. In the middle of the complex, in front of the cave, there is bathing place that is not any longer used by the local people. The angle figures within the bathing complex are about similar to common figures found in India. On the south part of the complex, there are along flight of step leads down the lower part of the valley. After crossing a bridge above a small creek and follow another flight of steps up to eastern side of the valley, a headless sitting Buddha statue can be seen. This is the evident of a close relationship between the two religions.

Besakih Temple, Karangasem, Bali

This temple was intentionally built in a holy village named Hulundang Basukih, which is known today as Besakih village. The name of Besakih was derived from the word "Basuki" or in some old manuscripts written as Basukir or Basukih. The word Basuki itself was taken from the word "Wasuki" on the Sunskrit, which means "salvation".
While in the mythology of Samudramanthana it is mentioned that Basuki was the name of a dragon that coiled around the Mandara Mountain.
The old remains say that the BesakihTemple was built by Rsi Markandya and his followers in the 11th century. At that time, Rsi Markandya intended to go to Mount Agung to build a residence. However, the construction was troubled by the spread of disease which caused the death of his followers. For the safety of his followers, he then constructed a veneration to worship God for a salvation. The veneration was called "Sanggar Basuki".

Location:
The location of Besakih Temple or Pura Agung Besakih is at Besakih village, Rendang district, on the south west of Mount Agung. It is about 44 kms from Amlapura and 62 kms from Denpasar.
Facility:
Some facilities are available in this area to support the tourism activities in Besakih, like food stalls, fruit stalls and art shops. There is also a quite large parking lot and local guides who will always be ready to give their best service.

Description:

TANAH LOT

Tanah Lot One of Bali's most important sea temples, the temple sanctuary at Tanah Lot is built atop a huge rock which is surrounded by the sea.Tanah Lot is 13 km from Tabanan is Beraban village. When the tide is low people can walk to the temple. It looks like a floating one if the tide is high. There are many caves under the temple lived by the peaceful sea snakes, which has white and black colors.
Tanah Lot picture "like a painting"

It's located 16 kilometers west of International Airport Ngurah Rai, or a 20 minutes drive through Sunset Road. Coming in from Java Island through Gilimanuk, and arriving at the Kediri intersection, at the Wisnu Murthi statue, turn right. In front of the Kediri police Station, turn left, and keep following this smooth road. In less than 10 minutes you will be there.
Although a small sanctuary, Tanah Lot is linked to a series of sea temples on the south coast of Bali: Pura Sakenan, Pura Ulu Watu, Pura Rambut Siwi and Pura Peti tenget. All these temples are related to the principal mountain sanctuaries: Besakih at Gunung Agung, Pura Batur at Batur and Plura Luhur at Mt. Batukau.
Tanah Lot Temple
The upland temples venerate deities associated with mountains and mountain lakes, while the sea temples include homage to the guardian spirits of the sea within their ritual. These main temples are often listed with the sad-kahyangan the six holy "national" temples, which exact tribute from all Balinese. The chronicles attribute the temple at Tanah Lot to the 16th century priest Nirartha.
Built by one of the last priests to come to Bali from Java in the 16th century, its rituals include the paying of homage to the guardian spirits of the sea. Poisonous sea snakes found at the base of the rocky island are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruder.

The best time to see Tanah Lot is in the late afternoon when the temple is in silhouette.
The beach around Tanah Lot is great for horse riding and watching dramatic sunsets, but not for safe swimming.
